Google is in the giving mood! After a brief price break for Black Friday, the Nexus 5X is back on sale, this time for a decidedly longer duration. Amazon and Best Buy are also in on the sale and have reduced their product prices as well! Another potential present for smartphone shoppers at the Google Store is an extended return window.
Purchases made from December 8th through December 25 can be returned through January 22, This applies to everything however, not just the Nexus 5X. In our official review , we concluded that:. I guess long-term and timely software supp I mean what else does iPhone offer that Android doesn't? Absolute gorgeous phone in every way just wish it would come back out with spec bigger battery,64gb minimum.
For example, some people say new features in android are just bloat. And to the second, it depends on if you talk about official support or XDA support at android. If you talk about official, then you can compare it to Galaxy S3 and S4.
They both didn't get even half of the update support time the iPhone 5 got. But if you talk about unofficial support, the Android phones are more comparable and some are much better. Anonym, 27 Aug Price is of the essence and support is also very expensive.
One phone is supported for many ye Let's calculate: scenario 1: You buy a Galaxy Nexus in April It gets updates until Android 4. Now you need a new nexus phone. The newest device is the nexus 4. It gets updates until Android 5. It isn't comparable to the now 2 years old Nexus 6 which is more expensive, so I calculated the same percentage of depreciation as with the Galaxy Nexus At that time, Nexus 5x is released, but not ready to buy yet.
So you have to buy Nexus 5 or Nexus 6. It gets updates until iOS 9. And now the result. Since the words that I can use here are limited, I will summarize the review.
Nexus is a great phone. Its a phone for the people who are android purists. You are always running the latest android sweetness the moment it is served unlike other android flagships like HTC and samsung where you spend more and get an outdated android version with no gurantee of the upgrade.
It performs butterly smooth with no bloatware and you get a clean and minimalist interface which in a way relaxes you. The camera is superb as against the reviews as i found pics well focussed and low light performance was wonderful. With each upgrade it makes it better n better. One thing that I wished it has is a removable battery. But between iPhone 5s, s4 and Nexus 5, I use nexus 5 as its a great phone at an unbeatable price. The Boss. This I bought after getting tired of Blackberry Torch.
I bought it because read reviews everywhere, watched shows not a single disappointing response from anyone. Manutfactured by LG.. The Nexus5 has a unibody design with a nonremovable battery of mAH which shall easily provide a days backup after heavy usage Looks premium..
The device runs on the latest version of Android ie Kitkat 4. Hence in case the device hangs its not possible to reboot the phone by removing the battery. The Nexus 5 has a beautiful Full HD x 4. It has an amazingly fast quadcore processor clocked at 2. There is an 8MP rear shooter and a 1. It is capable of recording full HD videos. The phone is sleek and a pleasure to hold and work with.
It also has a notification light,a feature not so common out there. Google makes sure it updates all its core apps regularly to give us a wonderful experience. Obviously, being a Nexus,it is guaranteed to receive all the latest Android? But,as we all are aware, every coin has two faces;so does the Nexus 5. There are a few flaws with this near-to-perfect phone:The speakers aren't loud enough at times as tend to get covered while playing games in landscape mode due to their sometimes inconvenient position.
Also, the camera fails to focus properly once in a while, but this is being looked into by Google Camera? The good points outweigh the bad ones over all. All in all,the Nexus 5 is a dream come true and I'm very glad to be a proud owner of one. I would surely recommend it to everyone out there!
Get one if you haven't already, I'm sure you won't regret it! Awesome Smartphone! I lost my Samsung galaxy S4 and decided to look for a cheaper alternative. I got the Nexus 5 32Gb. All I can say is I love it! Simple Android interface without all the bloated apps I had on my previous phone. Pure android experience. The battery is good. To be honest the camera images are pretty much the same as the samsung and gives me no issues especially the HDR mode which works excellent.
Love the photosphere setting!. The optical stabilization is excellent too. As for no sd storage it makes no difference as 32gb is plenty around 26gb available due to OS etc and I would rather store my photos or whatever on google drive cloud as its safer that way considering I lost my previous images that I had on my Samsung. The phone feels faster and more smooth as well. The screen is just awesome and is better.
I got the white back version and it looks excellent. Nice build quality for the price and feels lighter than what it looks. The speed on 4G network is outstanding. Everything just runs fast and nothing slows it down. The only downside is the speaker location on the bottom of the phone and general sound level is not as loud as my previous phone but its not far off. Everything else is better I am overall extremely pleased with the Nexus 5 and I would highly recommend it.
